The concept was really cool. It kind of reminded me of the Blue Bloods series a little bit for whatever reason. The idea was that when people die they reincarnate into whatever baby is born next. It was a little weird that they could be boys or girls though. I'm not sure how I feel about that one.
My New Best Friend
I loved Sam's best friend. I cannot remember her name and my book is too far away to go get it. BUT she was awesome. She was so much fun and kept Sam in line.
My Crush
Obviously my crush was Sam. He was the main male character and was pretty awesome. He didn't seem to care about what anyone thought of him, which was a nice change. Also he was a crazy talented musician. Very attractive. He wasn't like the typical guys you read about. When he first feel in love with Ana it wasn't the whole I'll die if I'm not with you kind of thing. It was a lot more realistic than most novels.
Writing Style
I loved the world the author created. It was refreshing and new. Some parts weren't as well written as others, so it wasn't very consistent. You could, however, tell that the author tried really hard.
Closing Thoughts
This book was really good, but it didn't make it into my favourites. There was something missing. Maybe it was that I didn't connect with the main character. She seemed way to stupid to exist. I understand that she had a rough upbringing, but she had NO self-confidence. It was sad but annoying when you're reading it. I also thought the random dragon attacks were a little strange. The dragons weren't really necessary I found. They had some small parts but there was never an explanation or anything about them. It was random in a mostly normal world.
Bonus
Only my absolute favourite books get a bonus. This one didn't have one.
