"Who is the new Ultimate Thor? The Ultimate Universe's Thor died defending the Multiverse, but his hammer remains. Who wields it now? Ponder that question along with Jane Foster, the Mighty Thor, as she faces the Ultimate team-up! War is coming to the Ten Realms - and when the Queen of Cinders sets them ablaze, even the combined might of not one, not two, but three Thors may not be enough to put out the flames! Meanwhile, Malekith's army grows and the looming conflict reaches Asgard's doorstep! But even the fire of Muspelheim pales beside the fury of the Ultimate Thor...and with his thunder comes his vengeance!" --
I liked this volume. We see many things happen and reveals. Thor/Odinson finally learns who wields Mjolnir and his reaction to Jane. We see who the War Thor is. Also, Jane comes to terms and accepts that the cancer will soon take her life.
In all of these reveals, we also see the affects that the War is having on the realms and on the people who see all the horrors around them. It's sad and powerful to see how War changes people.
The art was great.
This Mighty Thor issues started out and ended great. I don't know if I like the Generation issue being at the end of this volume, since the Mighty Thor issues were so powerful, but it is what it is.
I know that his series is soon coming to and end and I hope they do Jane Foster justice because I thought she was a great Thor.
