So I think my biggest mistake for this issue was heading into it thinking it was a tie-in for the Spider-Geddon series. Stupid, I know. The name gives it away and everything. However, in my defense there have been a lot of spinoffs to Spider-Geddon, so it was an easy mistake to make.
My point is I went in there expecting one plot, got really confused, and realized I had something completely different on my hands. Looking back on it and understanding what’s going on…it was okay? I get that they’re trying to amp up the excitement for the movies (and let me tell you, the good rating on rotten tomatoes is doing a great job on its own – I went from tempted to see it to really wanting to see it) but it sort of fell flat. I think it would have been better to let the new movie/series stand on its own here.
