Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning-author John Green’s most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

If you hear what the book is about you think it’s nothing special. A story like one thousand others. But this book is different. I’m usually not into this kind of story but I only heard positive things about “The Fault in our Stars” so I decided to read it and I was really surprised. The story is written so differently from anything like it. It never gets boring or seems like clichés. The characters are so charming and credible. Although it is a sad story it often makes you laugh. The people in the book don’t constantly drag you down like it is other dramatic books. The story sometimes takes turns you’d never expect but even the ones you saw coming are written in an extremely original way.
I read the book in almost one go and now I can completely understand why people are so fond of “The Fault in our Stars”. It came to my attention through tumblr, there I stumbled upon several quotes from the book. Just a little tip: keep a sheet of paper and a pen near you while reading. You’ll come across many lovely phrases you’ll want to remember.
