Sometimes it felt a bit too drawn out but this kept the terror going.

There needed to be more romance, a dwelling on the courtship and loving sex between the couple at the centre of the story would have improved the story and less detail on the rape. And then it lost a point when I discovered the author has written sex advice manuals, now I feel all creepified.

A better title would have been good because you're basically just waiting for her husband to die.
