This book has been toted as a Cinderella meets Odessy story. I not sure i agree with the odessy part other then their is a really long sea voyage. I would recommend this book to fans of Cinderella, the selection series and anyone who is ready for a happily ever after. Basically Selah has been sent away by her evil step mother to find a husband when her love at home turns her down.

The sad part of this is her dad is dying, she had her heart broken and all the suitors are not going to come home to Potomac to rule by her side. This is at the root of the story Selah wants to find a love that can help her rescue her farther and her country. We only meet two of the suitors in this story and both don’t end very well. I loved both of the guys she meet they are amazing in their own right but the reason neither work out make sense. One totally decieves her the other is to ingrained in his family.

The major movement of the story is Selah determination to find her love before she enters the kingdom that she most terrifies. Apparently you enter and you never leave. Selah really wants to end this tour as fast as she can and that not how it going to go down she needs to make an attempt at each tour stop. Her crew i am sure is not completely on the up and up with her either.

Selah is not the strongest character when she leaves home, she cries at the drop of hat. she trusts very quickly and she homesick. By the time she leaves her second stop on this trip i think she really coming into who she going to become. She grows sort of a back bone but if you get your heart broken twice that sure to teach some harsh lessons. I definitely will be reading book two so pick this up. The Beholder is coming out June 4, 2019.
