This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Lisa for letting me take part in this tour. When we met the Bayside gang in Seaside Whispers I knew Melissa had a few stories up her sleeve for this lot, which made me very excited.

Desiree has spent her life wishing her mother noticed her. She has always been jealous of her sister Violet. The two of them have never really spent much time together, never creating that sisterly bond they both craved. Desiree's mother has tricked her into spending the summer at the Cape but when Desiree meets Rick things don't look so gloomy after all.

Rick Savage grew up around the Cape but he's spent the majority of his grown-up life in DC. Rick has been back at the Cape for a few month working on the Bayside project with his brother Drake and their friend Dean. Rick is a hunk of a man but Rick has his issues. He's spent years running but meeting Desiree has opened up a whole side of him he didn't realise was hiding. I really identified with  Rick's character and the grief he had buried inside of him. I understood everything he was feeling.

Melissa always writes the best endings and I have to say this one did not let me down. it was perfect and I cannot wait for the next book in the Bayside series.
