Book Three in the House of Night series.
Dark forces are at work at the House of Night and fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird's adventures at the school take a mysterious turn. Those who appear to be friends are turning out to be enemies. And oddly enough, sworn enemies are also turning into friends.
So begins the gripping third installment of this "highly addictive series" (Romantic Times), in which Zoey's mettle will be tested like never before. Her best friend, Stevie Rae, is undead and struggling to maintain a grip on her humanity. Just when it seems things couldn't get any tougher, vampyres start turning up dead. Really dead. But, as Zoey and her friends so often find out, how things appear rarely reflects the truth.
I think that this book was really good, but there are some things that are now a bit out of control. 1. The keeping things from each other. Come on, when does that ever work?
2. The fact that we are now feeling bad for Aphrodite, the things she did were not just 'poor girl, had a hard life' things.
3. The language, if I have to hear 'bull poopie' one more time...
4. They multiple guys. Now I understand that sometimes life happens. But she has 3 guys she is stringing around. And to be honest it's exhausting.
Don't get me wrong I really like the book, it fits really well with the previous two, and to be honest I'm glad I am reading them back to back because I think they flow right into each other.
