Cocktails and Books received this book for free from Inkslinger PR in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect our opinion of the book or the content of our review.Vi Keeland has created quite a few heroes that I have loved, but Hunter Delucia has leaped to the top of my Vi book boyfriends.
Hunter was cocky and you never knew what would pop out of his mouth, especially when he first met Nat. But the more page time I spent with him, the more you could see who he truly was. He was a man with a huge heart, who wanted what his friends had, but was too afraid to wish for it. Nat (and Izzy) made him rethink the way he lived his adult life. Made him want to live. And made him question decisions he had made long ago.
Nat wrapped herself up in her hurt after being duped by her husband and have her whole world crumble. She proved how strong she is by raising a defiant teenage stepdaughter and willing to do whatever she needed to do to make sure Izzy's life picked up and moved on. I could understand why she wanted to protect herself, but it was easy to see that no matter how hard Nat fought Hunter and his cocky attitude, she was going to fall.
This couple is fun and can pull at your heartstrings when they need to. SEX, NOT LOVE was a book that I could not put down. Hunter and Nat made it possible to want to part with them, even if just for a moment.
Lovers of Vi Keeland will rush to pick this title up. For those may not have had the opportunity to read one this author's titles before, this is a great book to grab. Prepare yourself to quickly devour her backlist.
