Clara Wheaton is the consummate good girl: over-achieving, well-mannered, utterly predictable. When her childhood crush invites her to move across the country, the offer is too good to resist. Unfortunately, it's also too good to be true.

Suddenly, Clara finds herself sharing a house with a charming stranger. Josh might be a bit too perceptive - not to mention handsome - for comfort, but there's a good chance he and Clara could have survived sharing a summer sublet if she hadn't looked him up on the internet . . .

Once she learns how Josh has made a name for himself, Clara realises living with him might destroy the reputation she's spent years building. But while they may not agree on much, both Josh and Clara believe women deserve better sex. What they decide to do about it will change both of their lives, and if they're lucky, they'll help everyone else get lucky too.

I loved this book. As I mentioned in a comment previously, I have been taking time to learn about sex work from the point of view of sex workers. One common remark is that not every single sex worker has lived a terrible life which lead them into sw. In fact, many folks enjoy their work and chose their profession because they wanted to, not because they were forced into the industry. This book does a good job of making that clear while also showing the down-side of sex work. For instance, like many other industries, the sex work industry - specifically adult video entertainment - has large corporations that suck.

I guess what I want more people to understand is that sex work is work. PERIODT. We should not shame folks who work in that industry, we should fight for their rights just as any other worker in any industry deserves rights. For instance, when people make jokes or jabs about whores or sluts or porn stars, maybe take a moment and correct them. ANYWAY - this book is sex-positive and porn-positive - as a society we should be too!

The slow-burn romance was so well-written! Also, the supporting characters were developed. Specifically Josh's ex Naomi who is a savvy businesswoman and adult performer who is working on an advanced degree.
