I did not like this book. It was confusing to read because the author would end one paragraph with one set of characters and then start the next paragraph with the next set of character....with nothing to connect them. I was left rereading paragraphs because I would get lost as to who the author was talking about.


I did like the fact that it was a historical fiction book about turn of the century through 1930 San Francisco. In my opinion, that is the only saving grace of this book.
