All Night with the Cowboy was a good read. It was a good 2nd chance romance. I couldn’t get into it. I hate it when I can’t get into a book. There was no real reason I couldn’t get into it. It made me a little aggravated since I had liked Cowboy Stole My Heart.

I couldn’t connect with Lauren. Don’t get me wrong, I liked her. I felt that she was bland as a character. She had no personality either. I love it when the female lead is fiery and has her own mine. Lauren didn’t make it there.

Tanner has to be one of the most bull-headed characters that I have read to date. Forget that he was injured when riding a bull. He was bound and determined to get back to the rodeo. I was like “seriously guy???“. Even when his father told him his bad news, he was still bound and determined to get back to riding bulls. I sat there and shook my head in disbelief. He was out to prove that he could do it again and forget everyone who was telling him to retire.

I loved, loved, loved that most of this book took place in Fiji. I have always wanted to go there. It is a dream vacation. Plus, I have rarely seen Fiji as a backdrop for most of a romance audience.

I am torn on how to feel about Lauren and Tanner hooking up while he was her patient. One one hand, I thought it was an interesting way for them together. But, however, I thought it was tacky. So can I say that it is safe to say that I liked it but found it a little tacky?

Speaking of Lauren and Tanner, I thought that the reason Lauren broke up with Tanner dragged out. On both ends. I wish that Lauren told Tanner why she broke up with him sooner than later. There was so much drama over that one thing.

The sex scenes were out of this world. They were on fire. I swear, if my Kindle could fog up, it would have. They had sex in some very interesting places, including a beach. I got squirmy reading that scene and not from the hot sex. I kept imagining sand getting everywhere.

The romance angle was a tear jerker. Even though I couldn’t connect with either character, I loved their romance. The scene after they got home from Fiji made me tear up. As did the scene at the end of the book.

Like I mentioned above, the end of the book was a tear jerker. The epilogue had me teary also.

What I liked about All Night with the Cowboy:

A) Majority of the book was set in Fiji

B) Sex scenes were on fire

C) Their romance made me cry

What I disliked about All Night with the Cowboy:

A) Couldn’t connect with the main characters

B) Tanner’s bullheadedness

C) Couldn’t get into the book

I would give All Night with the Cowboy an Adult rating. There is explicit sex. There is language. There is mild violence. I would recommend that no one under the age of 21 read this book.

There are no trigger warnings for All Night with the Cowboy.

I am on the fence if I would reread this book. I am also on the fence if I would recommend it to family and friends. I would be open to reading other books by the author. I have in the past and I have liked them.
