I liked Mallory for the most part. I liked how she was with her friends, their boyfriends and even how she dealt with Tanner. I thought she was pretty kick butt dealing with Tanner. I like that she’s got some snark to her as well. The only problem I often had with her was her lack of self-confidence. Just because one boyfriend broke up with you doesn’t mean every single person in the world thinks you are unworthy. It was driving me crazy that she thought that way about herself.I Any time anything happened it was the well it’s because they think I’m unworthy. Which is why Colton is the perfect yin to her yang.
Colton, I adored him. In one respect you might see him as obsessed but really I thought of him as someone who knows what he wants. He wants to be with Mallory, she is the one and he’s willing to wait. I think the one night stand helped to encourage him. I just liked his attitude throughout the book. Almost teasing to Mallory trying to run off from him. Even though she’s dating Tanner. He bides his time. I don’t know how to explain it but he was supportive no matter the situation and that made me love him.
So talk about some creepos. Tanner and Mallory’s dad. I felt almost sad, I really wanted Mallory and her dad work things out. I thought there were moments when, okay he’s her dad he loves her. I just felt so bad for her. Then Tanner was just well, interesting. I don’t want to give too much about him away.
I really enjoyed this story and now have to go back and read the first one. I liked Reed in this book and word on the street is that he is pretty awesome. I really enjoyed this book and it’s nice to have ordinary girls dealing with ordinary problems. Plus there is a little twist thrown in at the end that I really enjoyed.
