This book is not only about Dean learning what it means to truly listen, it is also about Carly dealing with verbal/psychological abuse from her boyfriend.

Sometimes when I review Chautona's book I feel like I'm being redundant saying how much I love them, but it is true. Her writing style is engaging, her stories deal with potentially heavy issues without being dark or depressing, and they teach valuable life lessons without being preachy. Her characters are lovable yet flawed and the dialog flows very naturally. Corner Booth is all of the above and I enjoyed it so much that I turned around and re-read it right after I finished the first time to make sure I didn't miss anything.
