The first few chapters in this graphic novel were amazing. The adventures of Kamala are hilarious. Her interactions with Wolverine where the absolute best. True story: I was reading this book while my mom was watching TV next to me. I got some weird looks because I kept giggling. When you're laughing out loud because of a book, you know it's good.
The second half didn't keep up the fantastic quality. It was still great, but I felt the message was a bit blah. Maybe it's because I'm not this comic's intended audience - I'm not from the same generation as Kamala is, but rather an awkward half-step older one. I couldn't identify with the whole "everyone thinks our generation is useless" tirade, and it grated on my nerves.
That said, I still think Ms. Marvel is one of the coolest superheroes we got right now, and I'm looking forward to the next volume.
