I liked this one so much better than the first. Aria was a much better and more interesting character. Roar is fantastic fun and I liked his relationships with pretty much everyone. I liked the redemption of characters and how people had changed and gotten stringer. I like how solid Aria and Perry's relationship was. And I liked Cinder and his role.

Also, I liked the balance of answers about this world with the remaining mysteries I like will come into play in the next book like more if the kids from Cinder's pod.

And I enjoyed the pacing and action and the plot was interesting, tested the characters and gave them an arc but didn't draw things out too long.

It was actually a much better and more enjoyable book than I expected. And it's cool to see authors grow in their craft as they write more.
