I really enjoyed this book. It took me ages to get around to reading it, but I'm glad that I finally did. I had heard mixed things about the book, but it didn't disappoint me in any way. At one point I thought it was going to be fairly predictable, but in the end there were some interesting twists that made it not so. As usual, Gaiman included some very strong characters and he described the world of the book so well that it almost seemed that at times I was there also. If you enjoyed The Graveyard Book or The Ocean at the End of the Lane, then this one is for you. If you haven't read anything by Gaiman before, then this would be a good place to start.
I haven't seen the movie version of this yet, but I'll need to seek it out now and see how it matches up to the book. I'll also need to get around to reading the unread Gaiman books on my shelf such as American Gods and Neverwhere.
