What a fantastic read! Beautifully Broken is the first novel in Sherry Soule's Spellbound series.
The author has created a mystery immersed in history and heritage. The story follows Shiloh (main character), a 16 year-old witch who has just started learning about her powers. Not only is she dealing with that, but she also has the unfortunate ability to see ghosts and demons. She is brave, selfless, and snarky. She's a character that I think a lot of teens, like myself can look up to. She lives in the town of Whispering Pines, where people just mysteriously vanish.
The characters are fantastic, creative, very realistic and well-constructed. The plot twists and turns, by the end of the book I was hanging on to my seat unable to read fast enough to find out more! Now, I can't wait for the next novel in the series!! A must read for sure! This is one of those Young Adult books that I would highly recommend to anyone that loves reading, even those that don't normally pick up a paranormal.
