Priscilla is the star scorer of the women's soccer team, and has her eyes on the national championship in her final season. All appears to be going as planned until she jumps into a fight to help out Preston, the star quarterback, who is also destined to make it to the national championship. All Priscilla's plans are derailed, when her actions as a good samaritan result in her suspension from the team. Preston vows to help her appeal the boards decision, but this may jeopardize his future as well.
I really enjoyed watching these two fall in love. They certainty had quite the meet-cute, and the relationship grew organically from there. These two had a lot of the same good qualities. They were both dedicated to their friends, families, and their sports. I especially loved Preston. He had a lot on his plate with his mother and aunt, and then, he took on other people's problems. He was kind and the I loved how he treated Priscilla.
I liked a lot of the auxiliary characters too, and felt they complimented the hero and heroine in this story. Carson and Jace were two standouts. Jace for her personality, and Carson for his friendship with Preston. Priscilla's brother was another fave, and a good guy to have on your side.
This met a lot of my requirements: low angst, low intra-relationship drama, a balance of fun and serious, and some positive growth for the hero.
I did enjoy the epilogue, but I still would have liked to find out more about what happened "after" to Preston.
