Initial thoughts: After I finished reading Margot & Me, I just sat there clutching the book. It absolutely gutted me. I loved how Margot's former life was intertwined with that of Felicity. With Felicity's mother in between, trying to bridge her daughter with her mother, there were so many secrets to be uncovered. The way everything unravelled was so intense. I won't lie — I cried my eyes out. This book made me feel so many different emotions, and as Margot would advise, allow yourself to feel it all. We try so hard to steel ourselves and be numb to our feelings, that we end up forgetting what it means to feel anything at all.
