This was an entertaining delightful chick-lit novel. The women of Vista Heights are your typical upper class suburban Moms, with all the problems and insecurities one would expect. Bathey perfectly details the women and the world they live in . Protagonist Beatrice Munson, world traveler extraordinaire, moves back to Vista Heights. She has hopes of adopting a little girl. She quickly shakes things up in this quiet neighborhood. While the story was predictable, the characters were unique and enjoyable. Parts of the storyline were sad and I will admit to shedding a few tears. Overall this was a quick, easy, feel good read that left you feeling satisfied. I would revisit Beatrice and her friends again. I am looking forward to reading more of Lorena Bathey’s work.
