**I received a review copy of this book via NetGalley.**

I thought this was absolutely adorable! Typically, I take issue with children's books that take anthropomorphic characters and try to teach a lesson from them, but "Monsters Move" doesn't have an educational agenda beyond repetition -- which, by the way, is what I MISS ABOUT CHILDREN'S BOOKS. It's like the repetition I adored in my childhood has nearly all been stamped out in favor of some lesson needing to be taught, but repetition is how I learned a lot of my words. It's how I learned HOW to read at such a young age to begin with, because repetition exposed me to those words over and over and over again.

The vibrant illustrations make this a cute, entertaining read even for an adult. Personally, I think the use of monsters could help to demystify the common fear of them that children have, because "Monsters Move" tells a story about various monsters doing typical things children may do (e.g. play with toys, take a bath).
