Kade's Turn by Tiffany Snow

Kade's Turn (Kathleen Turner, #7)

by Tiffany Snow

Assassin-for-hire Kade Dennon knows exactly who he is: a soulless killer who can’t be saved. And he thinks he’s fine with that…until he meets Kathleen. Beautiful, kind, and tough as nails, Kathleen Turner is nothing like the nameless one-night stands Kade usually goes for. Just being around her makes the hardened hit man feel emotions he never thought were possible. There’s just one problem: Kathleen is dating Kade’s brother, hotshot attorney Blane Kirk.

When a shadowy figure starts threatening Kathleen’s life and forces Blane to lose a high-stakes trial, Kade is thrown into the role of reluctant bodyguard for the most captivating woman he’s ever known. For a man who spends his life taking down murderers and psychopaths, this battle against his feelings might prove to be the fight of his life.

Kade’s Turn is a companion novel to Turn to Me, Book Two in The Kathleen Turner Series.

Revised edition: This edition of Kade's Turn includes editorial revisions.

If you've read No Turning Back and Turn to Me, you'll want to read Kade's Turn. It's the second companion book in the Kathleen Turner Series. An opportunity to experience Kade's perspective, and what an insight that is!

Kade Dennon is a ruthless, cynical, arrogant and dangerous man. Not how you normally describe the guy who ended up winning the girl's heart. He manages to keep his caring and protective side well hidden from view. Kathleen somehow manages to scratch away the surface of his steely facade to reveal a man who has a weakness for her. In turn, Kade doesn't foresee Kathleen seeing beyond his piercing blue eyes.

Blane and Kade's relationship is put under the spotlight too... secrets are kept and sacrifices are made. An incident acts as the catalyst to a chain of events, that in turn shapes the future for both brothers. The guys may not look physically alike, but we see many shared, family character traits, making them more similar than previously thought. I've always loved the interaction between the two of them and Tiffany sure takes that to an interesting level in this book ;-)

I now appreciate and love Kade more than before, understanding why Kathleen became attracted to this complex guy and why he is drawn to her. For the record I am still very much a Blane Kirk badge wearing girl. A fact that hasn't prevented me from thoroughly enjoying this book. I hope that those left disappointed after reading Point of No Return will take a chance and re-read this part of the story from Kade's point of view.

I'm now filled with sadness. Sad because it is the end of an era. Two years of living the highs and lows in the lives of Kathleen, Blane and Kade have come to an end :'(

Lastly, Whether you are Team Kade, Team Blane or a fence sitter, both Kade's Turn and Blane's Turn offer fans of The Kathleen Series new dimensions into our favourite characters lives. Therefore, I highly recommend both books as “Must read” add-ons to this fabulous series.
