Kade Dennon is a ruthless, cynical, arrogant and dangerous man. Not how you normally describe the guy who ended up winning the girl's heart. He manages to keep his caring and protective side well hidden from view. Kathleen somehow manages to scratch away the surface of his steely facade to reveal a man who has a weakness for her. In turn, Kade doesn't foresee Kathleen seeing beyond his piercing blue eyes.
Blane and Kade's relationship is put under the spotlight too... secrets are kept and sacrifices are made. An incident acts as the catalyst to a chain of events, that in turn shapes the future for both brothers. The guys may not look physically alike, but we see many shared, family character traits, making them more similar than previously thought. I've always loved the interaction between the two of them and Tiffany sure takes that to an interesting level in this book ;-)
I now appreciate and love Kade more than before, understanding why Kathleen became attracted to this complex guy and why he is drawn to her. For the record I am still very much a Blane Kirk badge wearing girl. A fact that hasn't prevented me from thoroughly enjoying this book. I hope that those left disappointed after reading Point of No Return will take a chance and re-read this part of the story from Kade's point of view.
I'm now filled with sadness. Sad because it is the end of an era. Two years of living the highs and lows in the lives of Kathleen, Blane and Kade have come to an end :'(
Lastly, Whether you are Team Kade, Team Blane or a fence sitter, both Kade's Turn and Blane's Turn offer fans of The Kathleen Series new dimensions into our favourite characters lives. Therefore, I highly recommend both books as “Must read” add-ons to this fabulous series.
