it is with reluctance that I give this two stars. There are some great bits of information in the book, but it's disjointed and lacks citations. She discusses runes and ogham, without any illustrations, links symbols from several different cultures without pointing out differences, and without dealing with transmission of ideas through cultures.
I probably have slightly higher standards than most for scholarship but I like when books like this actually display some solid research and scholarship.
it's a mess, an interesting mess tho.
