This is a lovely Thanksgiving picture book. The illustrations are very pleasing to my eyes. Often the books on Thanksgiving are filled with pilgrims and Indians of North America. These stories are important, but so is the political aspect of the holiday, which this biographical book delves into. This is an inspirational book for American History and the strength of one voice. Sarah Hale is a strong woman and one for our young girls to find inspiration in.
