Brendan had been leading his team, and working hard to be the best dad he could following his wife's death. He hadn't been interested in being with any other women for years, until he hooked up with Laura. They shared a hot weekend together, and then, nothing. Fast forward a few months, and Brendan needs a favor. He needs a fake girlfriend in order to make his in-laws believe, that he is moving forward in his life, and Laura would be the perfect friend to help him out.
Once again, I laughed a whole lot as I read this book. Between the dog's antics and precocious little Chloe, I was giggling and smiling a whole lot. I loved the dynamic between Brendan and Laura especially after they finally cleared the air. But, I did get a little choked up, when Brendan talked about his wife. It was beautiful and heartbreaking, and I like that his love and loss was part of this story.
Another fun and hot Bad Motherpuckers book!
