Going into this book I was very curious about Cassie and Caine's story however I was afraid she would be a typical clueless virgin placed on a pedestal. While Caine placed on her on the pedestal by 15% Cassie proved she wasn't as clueless as I (or he) thought. She took matters into her own hands. I love a girl who knows what she wants and goes after it. Caine is redeemed and I love him.

I must say I was ecstatic to see that Ms. Ivy finally wrote Abby/Phoenix back into the story. With her power she could have been used in many previous stories and it always made me wonder why she was tucked away.

On a side note Roke's story was setup nicely and we were left wanting to know more about this mysterious vampire.
