Upon his mother's death, fifteen-year-old Beck Phillips is sent to live with an eccentric uncle he had never met in a remote manor house, where he learns that his family suffers from a curse that allows him to make plants grow on command and dragon eggs hatch.
I really liked this novel. It had great elements of surprise through out the whole of the story.I know that kids 8-16 will love Pillage. I loved it because there were dragons involved. I also really liked the storyline because of the "inner story" woven in that the main character is discovering about on his own. Good job by Obert Skye and I hope that there is a sequel in the works.
