What a delightful book! I loved reading this story, it was simply wonderful. Seeing the Netherlands from Charlotte's perspective and learning of the adventures the children had while their dad was working and the mystery of their neighbors was great. I was sorry to see the story end and look forward to other books by Anne Siglin.
Oh, and I am not even close to being a young girl, so this book is good for children and adults alike. I can see my niece reading this aloud to her little sister.
