Barbie is a reporter in this series and usually while in the midst of her assigned jobs, finds a mystery.

Barbie's latest job is to cover the crowning of Princess Anna - the first princess to be able to wear the Star Sapphire Crown in over a hundred years (they were all sons before that). Unfortunately while the jeweller is inspecting the Crown it disappears. This one was pretty lame - there wasn't really much of a mystery. It was extremely obvious who did it. It was the butler. Well technically housekeeper but whatevs. Of course there are princesses, hidden passages and a castle - so it'll probably be a hit with young girls - even though there's very little story. Plus for some reason Barbie is an identical copy of Princess Anna - figure that one out.

Similar style to the Babysitter's Club Mysteries. Or Emily Rodda's Teen Power Inc. My rating 1.5 stars. Target audience 3 stars.
