This book is Jay McLean doing what Jay McLean does best -- crafting these beautifully damaged characters, who you cannot help but root for. After 4 books with the More gang, I have a lot invested in this story, and the ending of this series. I was actually quite pleased with the direction McLean took this character. Dylan was probably the character I knew the least about, and I was very eager to learn more about him.

"The words he speaks are generic. The feelings are not"

This book gave me what I have come to expect from McLean: heartbreak, heartache, laughter, tears, and warm fuzzies. Jay always makes me think, that it's all going to be ok and then BAM! She rips your heart out and stomps on it. But that's ok, in this book, because she made it up to me with some really tender and beautiful moments. I cannot reveal one of my faves, because I consider it a spoiler (I'm just going to say, "Three days earlier")

I fell in love with the Banks men in this book. Dylan just became so much more than I ever thought he could be. The bonds between the three men were obvious and I loved getting to see how they supported and loved each other. I loved when we got glimpses into their family history and their past, and I loved seeing Dylan find a mother-figure later on in the story.

"It's a good life.....A damn good life."

Overall: Another great addition to the More family.
