This was my second book of this series and I am going to keep my eye out for Vicki Lewis Thompson. This was another enjoyable story.

We met Jake Hunter in Werewolf in Colorado. Jake is a die hard believer that werewolves should mate with werewolves and that means NO dating humans. Don't mix with them romantically and you won't mate with them. Except he is very aware of the lovely human just across the lake from him, and often runs around the lake in his wolf form, just to scent Rachel while she works in her art studio.

Rachel is almost attacked by a mama bear, and Jake rushes over to chase the mama off. When he is hurt protecting Rachel, he is surprised when she drags him into her house to help him heal. Adding her kindness to this already too obsessed attraction is making it impossible for Jake to keep away from her. As the founder of WARM (Werewolves Against Random Mating), his reputation and beliefs are at stake if he gives in to that attraction.

When Rachel suggests that no one needs to know if something happens between them in a "what happens in the back woods of Alaska, stays there" offer, will Jake cave to desire or will he actually have to leave town to avoid giving in?
