BROKEN GLAMOUR is a story about a Hollywood bad boy who tries to reform himself when he falls for the girl of his dreams. Amanda Legend is the daughter of Steve Legend who is one of the biggest action stars in the world. Amanda wants to move to New York and work in the art world, because she hates everything about Hollywood. Although Amanda has lived her life in Hollywood, she has somehow remained untouched and is a nice, down to earth person. Against her better judgment, Amanda takes a job as Ryan Sinclair’s sober companion, so she can make enough money to get to New York. Ryan Sinclair’s a gorgeous A-list actor and he’s also a drunk. Ryan is heroic in his continual battle with alcohol addiction and at times, his battle is gut wrenching. Once Ryan is sober, he sees life through different eyes and he finds himself infatuated with everything about Amanda.

Maggie Marr writes an absorbing story, told from Ryan and Amanda’s point of view; so we always know what both of them are thinking and feeling. Although Ryan made a lot of bad choices in his past, I found it easy to like him, as he struggles to do the right thing and try to live a sober life. I liked both Amanda and Ryan although I didn’t always agree with their choices. Ryan and Amanda have an entertaining, tight knit group of friends, who add humor to the story and always have each other’s back. I enjoyed the story, the plot was believable and I had a hard time putting this book down. There is a lot of sexual tension and yearning between Ryan and Amanda, as they both try to figure out what they want out of life. This is the second book in the Glamour series and each book is a stand-alone. Now that I have read BROKEN GLAMOUR, I want to go back and read the first book HARD GLAMOUR, because I’m sure Dillon and Lane’s story is just as good as Ryan and Amanda’s.
