The Food-Lit lover in me began to drool just by reading this summary. Darkness and using your sense of taste to get to know a person really intrigued me. While the bakery and sweet treats played a secondary character, Damian and Sophie really turned up the heat.

Rogers introduces us to Damian as he sits in the office of his sister's bakery. We know he's hiding out from the media because of some accident, but we don't know anything more. She keeps us in the dark as well for several chapters.

Sophie is like a lot of young women these days, eating like a rabbit most of the time to give themselves that one chance in a week to really splurge on something decadent. For Sophie and her co-workers, that treat is something special from the bakery across the street from their office. When Sophie calls the bakery to place the weekly office order and Damian answers, the sound of her voice won't keep him in hiding for long.

The concept of how these two people could get to know each other by spending time together in the dark captivated me. I wanted to know where the author could take this. One date was so unique, I wouldn't mind going on a date like it myself. Once the lights come on, Rogers leads the story in a direction I never expected and throughly enjoyed.

Thank you Tracey Rogers and Sparkle Book Tours for gifting me with a copy of Dating in the Dark in exchange for an honest review. I can't wait to read more of the Sweet Delights Series!
