What I Loved

This book was exactly what I needed for a quick light read. It was adorable in every way. I especially loved how Canadian this book was! I don’t often read sports books. When I do it’s usually about a guy on a football team. That must be a really American thing right? Because in Canada it’s usually all about hockey. That’s partially why I loved this book! Our star athlete was a hockey player which I found way more fun! That could be because I don’t know much about football hehe.

This was a shorter book but I still found it a fun read. It’s mostly a romance story but it’s also about these two kids trying to fit it and be themselves. I think the author did a great job incorporating those two elements into one story. I think the little hints of other characters lives were thrown in there at the right moments. It gave us a little break from the main story line which could have been really boring it there was only one thing going on. It was just a nice well rounded contemporary story.

What I Didn't Love

My only complaint would be that I wanted more. It was a short book and I just would have really, really loved for it to be a little longer. I haven’t read the rest of the series yet but it looks like we might get to see these characters in the coming books so I might get that “more” that I’m looking for.

Who I'd Recommend To

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for a light and easy read. It was fun and entertaining and a perfect book when I was looking for something light and easy.
