The beginning of the story is very disjointed and confusing; I understand the intent was to reflect Ava’s bewilderment and sense of “wrongness”. Luckily Ava discovers what is wrong in the first part of the story, however, I felt like there was not enough of an explanation for the reader to follow along. From what I gathered this has to do with alternate universes, if anyone else has read it, please let me know if you understood better than I did. Morgan and Ava shared a strong connection that no distance could sever and I found that extremely romantic.
The plot was strange (I have to stop using the word “confusing”) and to be completely honest I am not sure I understood the ending, although I am glad for it.
Overall, this book was not for me, it might appeal to readers that do not need elaboration or word building.
About the cover: As I said, it is gorgeous and very appropriate to the story.
