Ty, intrigued by the beautiful bar owner, becomes a regular. He senses that Jenna wants to do something more with her life. And as he gains her trust, the passion between them grows, as does Ty's insistence that Jenna should start living for herself. With his encouragement, Jenna starts to believe it, too...

I really enjoy the Play by Play books, because I know exactly what I am getting myself into. This is my first "racy" audiobook listen, and I have to give the narrator a lot of credit. She did a good job with those lines, which I would not have been able to say without giggling, and conveying the proper emotion at the appropriate times.

This is the story of the female Riley, Jenna, and hockey star, Tyler. Jenna has had to take a back seat to her brothers' sports success her whole, and stepped up when her father fell ill to run the family sports bar. These circumstances coupled with a rejection when she was younger, has left her bitter and abandoning her dreams. Tyler makes a hard play for Jenna, but struggles to win her over.

Ty is a very resilient kind of man. I had to give him credit for sticking it out with Jenna, because I wanted to slap her so many times. Tyler was so dedicated to her, and wanted to help her realize her dreams. He wore his heart on his sleeve, and kept coming back time and time again. I totally fell in love with him.

I really enjoyed catching up with Mick, Tara, Liz, and Gavin. (That is one of the things I really love about companion books) The family interactions were fun as always, and I just like to see what has happened since we last met up with these characters.

Good hot and steamy sports romance.
