5 stars for nostalgia, 4 stars otherwise. Significantly better than the first book and comes into its own instead of being such a clone of other stories. The women were still super stereotypical and annoying though and that has always annoyed me, but it's even more annoying now that I am older and completely over the misogyny of the world.
