I loved this book.

From the beginning, when Ash first met Katrina and found out that she was Raaka and found out how she became Raaka to when he used the crystal and met Cathy. That was hilarious, as well as her explanation as to why he was there....lol.

I really felt for Cathy. She was beaten, almost to death, by her father and when she was unconscious, he shot her, her mother and himself....killing himself and her mother. She came out of that hell with a limp and a will not to be in a wheelchair. So, she walks around with a cane. I liked that the author made Ash notice that and had him accept it.

The journey back to his....world....was interesting, as was their journey to get to his castle and join Cathy's soul with Katrina's. Because, as the book explains, Katrina's soul took shelter in Cathy after she witnessed her mother being killed.

The ending was not what I accepted and I admit, I got teary eyed reading it. Not giving anything away but there is a twist. A nice twist.

I gave this book 5 stars on Shelfari. It was a fantastic read and very well written.

Will I recommend this book to friends? Hell to the yes. Even those who don't read romantic sci fi.
