This book was a little sad. It started of with Candice and her husband, Ian, parting at an airport. Ian was going away and they were having some serious issues going on in their marriage. The issues stem from the death of Ian's parents that past Christmas and it was something that both Candy and Ian are trying to work through.

While Ian is away, Candice takes on a client at work who happens to be her ex boyfriend, Keegan. Keegan dumped her because "he had smart and now he wanted beauty". Sounds like a winner, huh. Candice, naturally, is reluctant to take him on as a client but is forced too. She realized that her feelings for Keegan were still there.

Throw in a pair of polar opposite friends, a mother who is the eptiome of "smothering" and Candice having to make a decision that could have repercussions through everyone's life....this was a great book. Like I said, it was sad but the ending more than made up for the sad parts in the book. Plus, I liked seeing Candice's transformation from frumpy woman who was afraid to face life and its challenges to a confident woman who takes life by the horns.

Will I read it again? Yes

Will I reccomend it to family and friends? Yes
