Wow! Mafi didn't waste any time pulling me back into this crazy world. Now that the dust has settled, Juliette has to learn to connect with the other leaders, and they are not being particularly hospitable. There was quite a bit of Juliette struggling with her new role, and Warner trying to find his place in the new regime, while attempting to balance his past and his relationship with Juliette. But, Waner's past came back with a vengeance. Some BIG secrets involving Juliette were revealed, and the children of the rulers came to town with not the best intentions.
I really liked meeting all Warner's peers, and cannot wait to get to know some of them better. A few appear to play a really major role in Juliette's story, and seriously. Way to dump so major stuff on me right before the ending!!! I was left with my mouth hanging open, and a serious need for the next book.
Though some things happened in this book, which left me broken hearted, I find solace in the fact, that there are two more books to come in which Mafi can fix all this stuff.
