This was on my radar after the author won the now-renamed Campbell award - I assumed from the blurb it might be more fantasy-ish than I was in the mood for, but it ended up being a haunting and captivating gothic mystery. I had a hard time putting this one down when it was time to go to sleep, it was really fantastic.
