A Dark Kiss of Rapture is a quick introduction to what promises to be an interesting series. However, I found myself less interested in the romance than in the world building. I wanted to know more about this world. How it is structured, how did it come to be, etc. I had questions! Fallen angels and vampires aren't done a lot, and it's always intriguing to see how these worlds are built (and their connection or lack of one to religion).

On the character end, there really wasn't enough time to get to know either Raze or Kim, and so the connection to them and their relationship just wasn't there. It could have been just about anyone, and this novella felt like more of an introduction to the main players than a romance.

This was a free Kindle book from Amazon that I downloaded on July 1, 2012 for the Why Buy the Cow? challenge.
