I love Stormy Glenn. Totally and unabashedly. I'll read anything she writes, even if it's just an ad in the newspaper advertising a garage sale she's having. Her "Cade Creek" series is one of my all time favorites, so I jumped on this book as soon as I found it. It's another winner, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Mitch Walker fell in love with Elliot Foster. Sounds simple, right? Not on your life. After a (very) short time together, they have a wonderful night in each other's arms, but Mitch Wakes up and Elliot is gone without a word or a note. He's devastated, but life needs to go on. Two years later, Elliot shows up, and he's not alone. He and his family are in terrible danger, and they need help. Evil comes calling, and make no mistake, it IS evil, and Mitch and his family and friends are there to help banish it.

I don't want to give anything else away. Let me just tell you that this is a great story with lots of excitement, mystery, twists, turns, and sex, and love. It's beautifully written. The flow is smooth, the characters are extremely fleshed out. The descriptions of the settings are detailed enough to give the reader the ability to "see" what is taking place along with where. I loved Mitch and Elliot, and I rooted for them from the very beginning.

They're a couple who will capture your heart and not let go. They were so great, I thought about them long after I finished the book. They really stuck with me, and I actually missed them for days after.

There are quite a few background characters here. Mitch has a lot of people around him. Some are from book one of the series ("Happy's Ever After, an absolutely brilliant book), and others will obviously be represented in future installments. They're given enough attention that you begin to get to know them and be excited about their stories. They show the importance of family and the way they'll do anything to help their own.

I've read most of the existing books in the series, and they're all awesome. As I said, it's one of my favorite series in the many that I've read. The
plots are damn near perfect, and the men are hot AND sweet. You should definitely check this one out.
