A spellbinding tale of intrigue and murder on the high seas. As the lone "young lady" (13 year old) on a transatlantic voyage in 1832, Charlotte learns that the captain is murderous and the crew rebellious.
This is one of my all time favorite books. I read it for the 1st time back in 7th grade and reread it again once every couple of years. An excellent novel about a young girl in a non-traditional role.
