“ I’m sorry it took me so long”
“ I know it’s been a long time, but-“ “ worth the wait.” He had to cut her off, dragging his thumb over the one high cheekbone. “ Don’t ever doubt you were worth the wait, Kerris.”
“ Why, Walsh?” She whispered, her voice wavering and her eyes rimmed with tears.”Why me?” “ My heart didn’t give me a choice. I saw you and was gone almost from the beginning.”
Going into this book I knew I was missing something when I started reading this. But I continued on thinking that it was just a continuation of a love triangle where the jilted one went on with his life and met another after being dumped by the leading lady. Boy was I way off, just after the first pages I was hooked and that is because I had no Idea what had happened in the first book. That is saying something about the author’s writing and really caring for these 3 main characters.
Walsh Bennett is a wealthy man and just saw the love of his life Kerris marry his best friend Cam. Relationships will never be the same after a secret kiss has been seen. And this is where we start book 2. . But I do recommend you read the first book, When You Are Mine. Because this is a part two of that book. I went in not knowing what had happened, but enough was covered to inform me of certain happenings in book 1 to where I wasn’t left wondering. Great read and I do highly recommend it.
