Emma's story is not for the faint of heart. It's not a light read, learning of Emma's rape and who her new boss will be, in a profession that has more corruption than you would imagine. This story is filled with twists and turns that will leave you breathless and on the edge of your seat. The realism that is incorporated into Emma's roller coaster story is magnificent. Mikalsen weaves together situations that are true to life and had me feeling every emotion that Emma felt throughout this story.
This book is one I highly recommend to all. It's a story that weaves a look into the consequences of being forced to stay quiet when all you want to do is shout the truth to anyone willing to listen. It's a story that will open your eyes, all while making you want to hug Emma. If you love a superbly written, full of true-to-life characters novel, then Mikalsen's All The Silent Voices is one you won't want to miss.
