The Bastard has a lot of bad blood, bad feelings, and a financial mystery. While I enjoyed the story, the suspense, and the romance, I found that it was a little repetitive at times. And the actual romance was predictable.
I am definitely ready for the second book about Eric and Harper, though. So ready! The ending left me hanging!
