Being afraid may be expected of a normal 7 year old, but Olivia Norby is no ordinary 7 year old. When she and her father move to a new house in a small down, Olivia discovers that someone or something else is already living there. In the attic is living a 7 foot tall, cookie loving, monster who, like her dad Steve, is a writer. Burrufo and Olivia become friends even though most people would be afraid.
This is a great book for parents to share with their children and for children to read for themselves. The lessons learned about acceptance and tolerance are invaluable. The artwork by Alessandra Sorrentino add to the story and help children to see what a 7 foot tall, hairy, scarf-wearing monster may look like. A great little book.
