Priscilla And The Pixie Princess by Nathaniel Hobbie

Priscilla And The Pixie Princess

by Nathaniel Hobbie

Reminiscent of Dr. Seuss and Hilary Knight, here is another clever read-aloud starring Priscilla, who is bored to tears as rain comes down in buckets for days on end. When our intrepid heroine ventures outdoors to perform a Rain-Stopping Dance, she meets Posy the Pixie Princess, who shows her around the magical Land of Primrose and teaches her to appreciate both rain and sunshine.

Priscilla's story is told in lyrical verse and young girls will enjoy reading her pixie land adventure aloud.

I love Holly Hobbie, so I am not at all surprised to find I enjoy Nathaniel and Jocelyn Hobbie in a collaboration in Priscilla. Then in regular style there is an awesome pop out treat at the end. In an artistry form reminiscent of Dr. Seuss, yet with color scheme of Lisa Franks this book is a bright rainbow delight. It is hard to find beauty in a rainy dreary day, but the Pixie Princess and Priscilla find a way!
